Payment of Employees’ Provident Fund Benefits on Migration for Permanent Residence

Eligibility
The applicant should have permanent visa.
N:B: It is compulsory to have been left employment at the time of claiming for benefits.

Completed application form should, by the member himself/herself, be handed over to the head office in Narahenpita, during the office hours of a working day.

Necessary Supporting documents

Application certified by last employer, “B” cards relevant to membership numbers, National Identity card and a copy of National Identity card certified by the employer; a copy of the bank pass book; and

Valid permanent residency visa, and valid passport

If the claim application of a member who has citizenship for permanent residency in a foreign country is handed over by another person, the copy of permanent visa and passport should have been certified by the Sri Lanka embassy of that particular country. And the finger mark and signature in the authority granting letter or in the request letter of the member and in form “K” should have been certified by the Sri Lanka embassy of that particular country.

If there are shortcomings in the documents, such matters can be discussed with the Deputy Commissioner of Labour or Assistant Commissioner of Labour of the Labour office to which the application is handed over.
