Introduction:

The main objectives of this division are guiding the job seekers to find suitable employment opportunities or self employment opportunities ; help them to prepare their life plans , and conducting Labour market surveys to find out Labour market trends.

Main functions performed by this division:

•  Conduct career guidance seminars for school leavers based on the new trends of labour market and the importance of vocational training.
•  Create self – employment avenues for self employment seekers and provide them with well necessary information and knowledge and advisory facilities through workshops.
•  Explore availability of vacancies in private business enterprises by carrying out surveys and job fairs.
•  Maintain a computer data base on the establishments where vacancies frequently occur.
•  Conduct surveys to help create new wages boards.
•  Implement special projects relating to the Labour fields, with the assistance of other agencies such as ILO.
